1. Business Case

The purpose is to provide a structure to judge whether teh Business Case is desirable, viable, achievalbe and worth the continued investment that is made during the project.

2. Change

The purpose is to help identify, assess and control any actual and potential changes to the products that have already been approved and baselined. This theme provides an approach to Issues and Change Control.

3. Organisation

The purpose is to help define and establish the project's structure of accountability and responsibilities. Identify "Who" in the project. In prince2 based on a customer/supplier environment. The customer specifies the results the supplier provdes the resources to do the work and deliver the required products.

4. Plans

The purpose is to provide a framework to design, develop and maintain the Project Plans, which are the Project Plan, Stage Plan, Exception Plan and Team Plan.

5. Progress

The purpose is to establish how to monitor and then compare actual achievements againt those planned during the project. To provide a forecast for the project objectives and the project's continued viability. And to be able to control any unacceptable deviations.

6. Quality

The purpose is to define and implement a system that will crete and verify the products ar fit for use and meet requirements. So products created will meet the expectations and that the end product can be used as intended.

7. Risk

The purpose is to provide an approach to identify, assess and control uncertainty during a project and as a result improve the ability of the project to succeed.
